All local Social Security offices will be closed to the public for in person business starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Online services remain available at www.socialsecurity.gov. Local offices will provide critical services by phone.
If there is an in-office appointment already scheduled, Social Security will call to handle the appointment over the phone. If a hearing is scheduled, Social Security will call to discuss alternatives including offering a telephone hearing.
