ACIN I-57-13: Kinship Support Services Program (KSSP) (10/17/13)

Edgewood Center for Children and Families will no longer be providing technical assistance re: the KSSP, due to realignment of funding to the counties (and the fact that over the last 20 years, “staff have achieved a level of sophistication and self-sufficiency that permits the transition from contracted services to collaborative support and networking.”  The last six months of the contract will be used for holding 3 regional meetings to facilitate peer-to-peer networking.  [Download]

ACL 13-64: Registered Sex Offender (RSO) Address Matches Of Relative/Nonrelative Extended Family Member (NREFM) Approval And County Child Welfare Responsibilities (10/15/13)

Clarifying instructions to counties regarding procedures to protect minors and Nonminor Dependents from having contact with an RSO in a relative or Nonrelative Extended Family Member or court specified placement. Community Care Licensing is responsible for RSO investigations involving licensed facilities, and counties that license foster homes are responsible for investigating homes which they license.  [Download]

ACL 13-84: National Youth In Transition Database (NYTD) Survey: Second Cohort (10/3/13)

Round two of a foster youth survey. This one covers all youth in foster care turning 17 years of age during the October 1, 2013 through September 30, 2014 timeframe. The first cohort of 17 year olds was surveyed in FFY 2011.
