The listing of the cost sharing for the program.  Effective July 1, 2012, counties must apply these cost sharing ratios to all Aid to Families with Dependent Children-Foster Care rates paid to THP+FC according to the THP+FC placement. ACIN I-13-14 : Implementation Of The New Statewide Minimum Wage (2/18/14)

The new minimum wage will impact IHSS provider rates.  The minimum wage for all industries will go up to $9.00 effective July 1, 2014, and to $10.00 per hour after January 1, 2016.Counties with an IHSS provider wage less than $9.00 per hour will be required to submit a PA Rate Change Request. The county Board of Supervisors approval will not be required for the minimum wage increase unless it is for a rate above the $9.00 per hour wage, or provides for an increase in the other components (i.e., payroll taxes, health benefits, or administrative costs).  [Download]

Effective January 1, 2014, FS is a new CalWORKs component that provides intensive case management and services to clients. FS services can be provided prior to, or concurrently with, participation in WTW activities, withe the goal of increasing client success through more intensive case management and the assignment of clients to the additional activities or barrier removal services. ACL 14-06: ICPC Regulation 4, Residential Placement, Amended And Adopted by The Association Of Administrators Of The Interstate Compact On The Placement Of Children, Effective October 1, 2012 (2/5/14)

The ACL summarizes the amended ICPC Regulation 4, which governs residential placement of children across state lines.  The regulation details the process and time lines for residential placements, clarifies supervision responsibilities of both sending and receiving agencies and sets forth conditions for the child’s return to a sending state. The sending agency must retain jurisdiction and responsibility for a child until the child becomes independent, self-supporting, is adopted or both sending and receiving agencies concur to close the placement.  [Download]
