ACIN I-23-12: Application Processing Timeliness Corrective Action Plan (CAP) (5/7/12)

Friendly reminder from the state of the importance of meeting the timely processing requirements for CalFresh applications.  And that the failure to do so (at least 90% within timeframes) in two consecutive quarters, for either Expedited Service or 30-day normal application processing, will require a corrective action plan.  The FNS requires the state rate to be 90%, or else the state must meet a 100% timely rate!  We are at 81.8% right now.  [Download]

ACIN I-22-12: CalFresh For Foster Youth (5/1/12)

A reminder of the importance of connecting youth leaving foster care with CalFresh benefits. Although ACL 09-25 got the uptake rate from less than 5% to 22%, there is obviously room for improvement.  Despite legal obligations to maximize aid, the letter suggests the “development of a collaborative process involving both CalFresh and Child Welfare Services staff.” [Download]
