ACWDL 09-46: Update on retroactive eligibility for refugee medical assistance (10/08/09)

RMA eligible individuals are eligible for up to three months of retroactive eligibility to the same extent as are Medi-Cal beneficiaries, provided that:1) They apply within their RMA eligibility period. 2) They meet all RMA eligibility requirements during any retroactive months. 3) The three (or fewer) months of retroactive eligibility are within their RMA eligibility period. ACL 09-49: New Aid And Alien Eligibility Codes For The Trafficking And Crime Victims Assistance Program (9/30/09)

At long last, aid codes that can be assigned to individuals eligible for benefits and services under the Trafficking and Crime Victims Assistance Program (TCVAP). Includes a reminder that Counties may not deny or discontinue the case because the applicant or recipient does not have a social security number. The letter also continues requiring counties with automation that requires a social security number to “enter a ‘pseudo’ number” or other workarounds to ensure that the case is processed and the client is served.
