MRMIB has received sufficient funds to open Healthy Families up to new enrollment. They will take all the children off the wait list and will not be doing any disenrollments. This letter rescinds the instructions in ACWDL 09-39 regarding the Healthy Families wait list as there is no longer a wait list. Some cases that MRMIB is taking off the wait list will have new income provided. If the new income information makes a child eligible for free Medi-Cal the application will be sent to the CWD and the original date of application to the single point of entry will be preserved. There is no change to the Medi-Cal to Healthy Families bridge. [Download]
Child welfare service workers cannot have access to MEDS because they are not authorized to view the Social Security Administration data that is contained within MEDS. They can have access to MEDSLITE. This letter provides instructions to allow CWDs to disable child welfare service access to MEDS and only enable access to MEDSLITE. [Download]
The County will no longer ask for verification of PRUCOL status from people who choose the last option on the MC13 Form, the option that reads: “Not in any of the above categories, who can show that: (1) INS knows he/she is in the United States; and (2) INS does not intend to deport him/her, either because of the person’s status category or individual circumstances.” Counties will grant full scope Medi-Cal to people who check that box, if they are otherwise eligible, without checking into immigration status.
