ACL 08-34: Discontinuance Of Stage One Child Care 24-Month Eligibility Biannual Report (7/14/08)
Data, data, where’s the data? The Stage One Biannual report, CW 2197, a “Timing Out” Questionnaire with actual and projected information on the number of children and families receiving Stage One Child Care who have reached or who will reach the end of the 24 month limit of child care services for which former CalWORKs recipients are eligible, is a thing of history after 12/07. CDSS is using alternative resources to acquire necessary data. [Download]
ACIN I-25E-08: Clarification To ACIN I-25-08: New Trustline Regulations Implementation Frequently Asked Questions (6/9/08)
Three questions were amended from ACIN 1-25-08. Question A2 was amended to include all three steps needed for a provider to become registered with Trustline. Question A3 was amended to state that payment programs should reference the registration date given to them by the R&R Network. Question C4 clarifies that counties should not stop tracking providers until they have received a status from the R&R Network. [Download]
ACIN I-41-08E: Correction To ACIN I-41-08 (Integration Of The Child Abuse Three-year Plan Into The California Children And Family Services Review Process (7/16/08)
This notice transmits two new dates: the due date for the Notice of Intent Regarding the Child Abuse Prevention Plan (Attachment B) changed from June 30, 2008 to July 14, 2008, and the due date for submission of the Plan (which was omitted in the original ACIN) is October 1, 2008.
ACL 08-32: Food Stamp Waiver Of Face-To-Face Interview And Non-Assistance Food Stamp Household Recertification (7/14/08)
The letter transmits state regulations and provides implementation instructions on waiving the face-to-face interview for Quarterly Reporting (QR) households at county option, and for households with elderly or disabled household members. Based on a 2 year FNS waiver (also attached).  . No change in the info needed at recert.
Counties 1) MUST do face-to-face at application (unless hardship); 2) MAY conduct a telephone interview at recertification process without documenting a hardship (but counties waiving in person interviews for QR households must do it county-wide); 3) A face-to-face interview MUST still be conducted at recertification if: requested by the household or AR; when the county determines it is necessary to verify conditions of eligibility; or if the household has not complied with Statewide Fingerprint Imaging System (SFIS) requirements.
For Public Assistance Food Stamp (PAFS) households and mixed households, a face-to-face interview may still be required by another program. Therefore, the FSP recertification interview will be conducted in conjunction with the other program’s interview.
For households in which elderly/disabled all members are elderly/disabled, counties may conduct a telephone interview in place of a face-to-face interview at application, as well as at recertification, without documenting hardship. [Download]
